No, you cannot transfer your current work pension.
This is because you and your employer are both still paying into it (from your salary). You can only transfer a pension from an old job.
Once you’ve left your job, or if you have any pensions from old jobs, you can transfer these pensions to Beach if you want to, provided they don’t have any set benefits, such as a guaranteed income when you retire (common in public sector jobs such as the NHS).
To transfer your old pension to Beach, head into your account within the app, and navigate to transfer a pension. You’ll be asked for the name of your SIPP provider and the policy number, which you can find from your online account, or any paperwork provided.
We’ll handle the rest, and your money will turn up in your account within around 6 weeks (although it can be quicker or longer depending on the provider you are transferring from).
Sometimes your old provider might request some extra forms. We'll let you know if this is the case via email and help you understand them if you’d like us to.
Note: We won't charge a fee for transferring a pension. However, your current provider may charge a fee. They should let you know.
