How to cancel (before 30 days)

If you’re not happy with Beach after creating your account, you have up to 30 days to cancel your account, and no fees will be charged.

Here’s how to cancel:

  1. Login and navigate to settings (click the icon of a person in the top left corner)
  2. Select ‘Account settings’ then ‘Close account’
  3. You’ll then be directed to confirm and close your pension pot if you opened one, and/or your easy access pot if you opened one
  4. Any money added will be sent back to your bank account. If your money was invested, we’ll sell your investments, and you’ll get back the current value
  5. If you’ve initiated a pension or ISA transfer, we’ll cancel the transfer, or if already received, send it back to your existing provider (if they accept it)
  6. That’s it. We’ll close your account when your money has been transferred. This could take a few days due to selling investments and the bank transfer process

If you’ve initiated a pension or ISA transfer from another provider to Beach, and just want to cancel the transfer, get in touch with us at [email protected], and we’ll cancel the transfer, or if it’s already received, and still within 30 days for a pension and 14 days for an ISA, we’ll aim to send it back to your old provider (if they accept it), otherwise you can initiate a transfer from your existing or new provider, who will get in touch with us to arrange the transfer.

How to close your account (after 30 days)

If you’d like to close your account, you can do this easily within the app. Here’s how:

  1. Login and navigate to settings (click the icon of a person in the top left corner)
  2. Select ‘Account settings’ then ‘Close account’
  3. You’ll then be directed to withdraw your money from your easy access pot if you have any saved. You can also transfer your ISA to another provider without withdrawing money, you can do this by contacting your new provider, and they’ll get in touch with us to transfer it
  4. If you have a pension pot, you’ll also need to transfer your pension to a new provider. You can do this by asking your new provider to transfer your pension from Beach to them, and they’ll get in touch with us. You cannot withdraw money from your pension pot to your bank account
  5. After you’ve initiated your withdrawal, confirm your account closure, and that it’s. Your account will be automatically closed once the withdrawal takes place
