What makes Beach different?

Our core focus is making saving and investing easy. In the world of investing, it can be super complicated, and that’s if you know what you’re doing!

We are biased, but we think Beach could be the easiest option out there.

And we think our customer support is pretty great too, with UK based support over phone and email.

Beach sets you up with accounts for saving and investing for both life now (an easy access pot) and for retirement (a pension pot). And within those pots, a single investment plan suited to lifetime savings, or retirement, with the experts taking care of things.

Within the easy access pot is a tax-free ISA, where you can save up to £20,000 per tax year (April 6th to April 5th the following year), and all the money you make is tax-free. Alongside that is a standard account where you can continue to save with no limits, or for those who don’t want an ISA (you might pay tax on the money you make).

With the pension pot, the money you add from the bank will go into your pension pot tax-free too. You’ll get a 25% bonus on all the money you add which is to refund 20% tax paid on your income, and if you pay 40% or 45% tax you could claim the extra back directly from the government (all of this is called tax relief).

When it comes to the investments, there’s a single investment plan for each pot (so there’s no complicated investment decisions. Although you’ll need to make sure the plan is right for you).

The investment plan within the easy access pot is designed to grow over time in a sensible way. There will be ups and downs along the way, but over time the plan is for it to grow.

With the pension, the investment plan is matched to your age, and aims to grow in a sensible way up to your retirement age, and then provide an income in retirement (so less ups and downs when you want to withdraw money).

The investment plans are managed by the largest investment company in the world (BlackRock).

As a reminder, when investing, your money is at risk, meaning your money can go up and down in value, so you could get back less.
